There goes a "great" start to the weekend mate. :bash:

I hope you find it one piece although I presume professionals stole it...

Can you tell us how the car was secured? Was it dead locked? Alarm? Club lock? Where was it parked?
I just wonder how they stole it so easily since there obviously wasnt a truck involved.

Damn that is a shame dude. I hope insurance comes to the party for you if the police don't find it intact.

Stolen on base or in the patch? Either way, sounds pretty dodgy. I have heard a few stories where a few of the boys have taken other peoples rides for a cruise (always returned but still), including one bloke I knew up in Toowoomba (everyone referred to as "Dirty Harry"), who managed to steal three cars on base while the owners were either pissing it up at the boozer or passed out and he flogged the keys. Anyhow, if the base has got a front gate, then your best course of action would be to hit up the front gate (I presume civvys run it?)for video footage and word up the SSM/RSM. Realise though, that if you had your keys or whatever in a place where they could of been taken, than you can get screwed over for insecurity. You've probably already done that but when it happened up in Toowomba, at first no-one dobbed in anyone because the vehicle was returned, no-one knew who did it or anything else. Next time it happened, the person whose car was flogged approached heirarchy etc, eventually found out through an MP inverstigation with "Dirty Harry" then spending a considerable amount of time in Holsworthy lock-up, followed by discharge, large fine and some civvy prison time. All because of one night on the piss and a drunken joy ride. You've probably done and know all of this, but realise that if word is put out, it will spread and 99% of the time, the item is recovered. The worst thing to do is not inform the heirarchy and everyone else. If it was stolen on base, chances are it was by a military member or someone with connections to a member and they will be found out. Those type of jack f***s will get what's coming to them and jail / discharge will be the least of their worries after word spreads to the rest of the boys about what they did. I hope it works out for you anyways.

well i only had the stock immobiliser and the 1 night i left the club lock off!!!! well kewsick barracks has no security at all!! and the live in lines car park is right near the front gate so it was viewable........ i cant see y a mil. member would steel it as there are only approx. 10 live in members and a base posted strength of about 70 (small base)

thanks for the replies ppl its good to hear word is getting around

So there are no security guards? Are there any picquets / duties or anything at all? I haven't even heard of Keswick barracks that's why I thought at first maybe a member stole it. With that small amount of people, yeah it'd be fair to say that noone from work would of done it. EIther way, hope it works out for ya and those involved get what's comin' to them.
