Definately! I am not sure if it is really worth the $10000 approx between a fully optioned Statesman ie. V8, roof & leather and a Standard Caprice with a sunroof. I prefered to get a Caprice as it gives me an extra 2 years on the road over a Statesman as a Victorian Registered Limo so the price difference is made up in the long run.

You forgot the most important bit......the badge..!
Just look how some of the members are quick to bridle up if you dare call their ride a mere Statesman...;)

Oops I forgot to add i meant from the VR and VS range. I am aware of the badges but in terms of cosmetic difference and suspension, i fail to see the difference. Also the options are identicle, as for price tag i havnt checked.

The differences are even further blurred when you look at limited releases like the Internationals.

So its safe to assume they are the same car then :p

BTW the term "Lux-o-barge" is now in the print media. :)

You may notice a certian black one in this month's Australian DragRacing magazine.

I guess the same argument can be made for the SV8 vs SS.

The Unofficial Holden Commodore Archive (http://www.users.on.net/~nweber/commodore/) has been a useful resource for me over the years for this kind of info.

Fatas: different headlights, caprice has a rear roof console, 12 speaker stereo with 2 headphones, woodgrain trim, different suspension, badging. The LS8/Internatioal also had a rear bootlip spoiler that wasnt available to the Caprice unless aftermarket.

There were two releases of WHII International and both look similar from the outside as they had the same wheels.

Of the WHIIs and not the first series of WH Internationals...

From my observations and research the only differences are:
rear passenger headphone jacks in the rear parcel shelf,
rear passenger stereo and climate controls, a couple of extra stereo speakers, and vanity mirrors, which are in a console thingy overhead between the B-pillars,
their leather trim, wheels, grill, a you-bewdy high output headlights, more wood grain stuff and badges.

VooDoo, I dunno about the suspension? What was different?

IMHO We have better wheels, seats (LS8), projector headlights and we get a spoiler.

Actually my car IDs itself as a "Caprice" in HPTuners/LS1 Edit

The Caprice got a differant rated shock and spring package to the international (which was more sporty/firm). I cant recall if the LS8 got the ride level rear shocks or not (FE2 was an option though)

The LS8 International also got free golf clubs on the Greg Norman edition.

btw, the only differance between the "international" spoiler and the Grange spoiler was the HSV has 3 bolts holding it on and the LS8 one uses a plastic clip in the middle. Obviously the additional power of the HSV required an additional bolt.

*sigh* No golf clubs for me :( I believe Mr. Norman had ended his association with Holden after the VS Internationals.

The self levelling suspension on the WHI was dropped with the WHII revision and I thought they just had standard springs and shocks across the WHII range?

dont forget the granges.
wh2 international and caprice what is the differences ? :)

The VR, WH & WHII Granges were all based on the Statesman: the WK is the first Caprice based Grange.

And each one has been better than the last :D
