Just a heads up to owners of VZ Clubbies.

One of my wheels is being replaced due to a crack forming between the stud holes. It's hard to spot, looked like a paint run to start with, then the paint flaked off and I thought I could see a fine crack. Car was in for an oil change on Sat and a got the bloke to take the wheel off to look on the inside, yep, cracked all the way through... new wheel on the way from HSV.

I think it's likely to be a one off manufacturing fault, rather than an issue with the design or mounting, but have posted this up just in case.

Cheers,

Gordie

Thanks Gordie,

Will keep an eye on this. Do you have 5 alloy wheels or just a spacer as the spare?

Crisso: Spare is an 18" VY2 clubbie wheel, painted yellow...

Thanks for that Gordie.

Will watch out for that one. Not something you want to fail in the heat of the moment.

Yep, if your ute is a standard clubbie.

R8's have a different wheel design with the shadow chrome (nicer wheels to hey HQR? )

Will a 19 fit in there?
If so, maybe we could buy a set of 4 from someone thats changing them and split 4 ways.

VZ spare is better than my VXs black steel wheel :(
