chrome wheels

Hi all, been considering gettin chrome wheels, a friend says they r rice, just wanted to hear a few opinions, thanx

Chrome looks good on dark colours. You just have to find a nice set that look good and not too over the top.

Nah its not rice at all, I have seen Chrome on a black vy ss and black monaro and they look stunning at night. Really nice :)

i have chrome rims on my flame monaro and i like them and it wins plenty of trophies at shows so i think other people do to

i like chrome. dont let all this rice crap stand in the way. if u want something, then it should be up to you. chrome wheels look great.

I would use the term, refined - a refined set of chrome wheels looks great on a late model car but over-the-top chrome is better suited to a more classic vehicle.

Forget the rice factor, at least until you find yourslef down at Autobahn slapping a set of neon windscreen washers on the counter...!!! :lol:

No dramas, if you like chrome, get chrome, if you like any colour, get any colour, just dont get the stinking HSV rims that come with VY series 1 clubbys that are near impossible to clean all the crap out of the nooks and crannys.. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

If you drive an XW/XY/HT/HQ then chromies will look awesome.

If you drive anything built after Bob Hawke was Prime Minister, get alloys.

IMHO Chromies on a late model car look about as good as VX/VY bodykits on VN's

I've got 18x8 shadow chrome rims on my white VT and it looks good, I dont think straight chrome would go with white but the shadown chrome makes them dark enough to look good, black cars definitely suit some nice shiny shoes :)

Now that I have had my whinge..I feel better now.

thats why i spent time looking for a wheel that looked good and had to be easy to clean. the ones i got were easy to clean, however being 5 spoke can see the inside of the rim also so need to put hand right through the spokes and clean the inside of the rim now as well.

:p get chromies if it does it for you i personaly have my original mags pollished & love em (hard yakka to shine but i enjoy it) & i love chrome . call me mad but i love shiney stuff.
