Mitsubishi Ads!!!!

sorry if this sounds petty, but as bad as the last Mitsubishi adveritsment was about how a commy and falcon V8 would get dominated on a dirt road compared to a mistu (tru but who cares, ill care next time im in central australia racing a mitsu). Now the genious's at mitsu bring out tha ad about how 'my husbands got a big chunky boring company car (shot of the back of a commodore wagon) and he takes my car and its a joy to drive blah blah'

maby im being stupid but does that annoy anyone?

The toyota ads are terrible as well. Theres the ad about cars they will have in the future, it sounds so silly it comes across as: our current line up kinda sucks but we swear were gonna make some interesting cars soon. The Camry "test your reflexes" ad is stupid, the only reflex a camry tests is my gag reflex from seing something so ugly.

I know a number of people who have had drivetrain issues, mainly gearbox, with Magnas, and all Mitsubishi tells them is "that's normal". This includes the several times my brother in law took his Magna back because he couldn't physically get the car in second gear on cold mornings. As far as I'm concerned, I'll never buy a Mitsubishi, because I think their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on.

The gearbox in a friend's Magna totally failed at less than 80,000 km. Unfortunately, he was on holidays at the time so it sort of wrecked the holiday. After being a devout Magna fan ever since owning it, he traded it in on a BA Falcon shortly afterwards. He said the Magna was unreliable and too expensive to service.

The image projected by the Mitsubishi ads is that the quality is so good, they're giving you a 10 year warranty. But the reality is that they are desperate for sales and will do everything they can to convince people to buy their cars. I can't help think that, if they manage to stay afloat, the 10 year warranty may end up haunting them for a while.

IMHO the Lancer ad would have been more convincing if it was an Evo they were advertising. I don't like advertisements that put down the competition. There's something wrong with their product if they have to criticise other products to sell them.

i dont know just me i guess but i think most guys i know would agree.
