I have done a search but found nothing in direct relation to this!

I did read and am aware that all dealers are different in relation to voiding warranty after fitting full exhaust (headers onwards), so I rang my dealer today to find out their opinion on this, they said that it was fine, but would knock back any claim that resulted from the exhaust!
Which is what I fiquered and also has been said on here many times!

Has anyone had, or know of a claim being knocked back as a result of the exhaust and headers?
Is there anything that the exhaust can cause problems to, or that they can blame the exhaust for?

Or is there nothing to worry about and should I just go get it anyway?

Thanks in advance

Ash

O2 sensor is one thing they can knock you back on and any problems with the exhaust itself as well which is obvious cause they have nothing to do with it. Ummm I cant really think of anything else..... Oh and the cats if you keep your original cats.

Or just keep your stock exhuast, then if something goes wrong, whack it back on and then put it in for warrenty.

The problem with that is where do problems caused by the exhaust begin and end.

Can a stuffed O2 sensor cause any sort of severe damage to the engine? I don't know, but if it could you might have trouble with warranty claims

When my NEW engine was fitted under warranty nothing was mentioned in regard to the Pacemakers and Redback system .

People like you are the main reason it is hard to
get any warranty work done at all. Take a walk
in the room of mirrors.

Dealer was fine with my exhuast on the SS despite the many warranty claims on tht car. I think it is a good policy and if indeed the exhaust did cause a problem with the car I would pay for it out of my own pocket not try and stiff Holden!

I was told by people in the know at Holden that some warranty claims on auto transmissions were being rejected if the cars were putting out more power than standard. Depending on the dealer involved that could mean any car with an aftermarket exhaust.
