hey guys i think its time to have another gor cruise. im not from melb so i dont no what time the melb poeple want to meet or where. how about 8 at albert park?
i will be at corio bunnings at 10am and plan to leave there between 10.45 and 11. not sure where the rest of the stops will be just yet but ill get back to you.

ok. melbourne people meet at kfc on the todd road exit of the west gate fwy, meet at the one on the left when heading towards the west gate bridge heres a map to show you where. Melway ref: 42 H-12
meet there at around 9 and leave at 9:15-9:30am and aim to get to corio for around 10:30-10:45am and leave corio at 11 - 11.30

A cruise would be great. Hopefully there will be some interest. To me it seems there aren't too many cruises organised on here. I thought people would be keen to get out there in a pack of hot holdens and have some fun. Drag meets are more common right?

You can get validated by being nominated by two people (who are already validated) that have met you and can verify you are a good bloke, abusing other validated members WILL NOT HELP!!

I'd like to know about these cruises in Melbourne, especially on saturdays. I'd like to meet the folks in the forum but if it's only a validated members club only cruise how is it possible to do so? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just wanting to know what the process is or am I missing the obvious.

You are not missing the obvious, this has been discussed by new members many times before. We were all in this situation before. It takes time, read the forums, get to know the names/people, visit the sponsors/workshops and YOU WILL meet other members there, it doesn't have to be from a cruise, and not all cruises are in the validated sections either.

Did they change the speed? Last time i went down there late last year it was 100 most of the way except when comming into and going out of towns.. I remember thinking to myself no matter how hard you try you'd have to be mad to do 100 all the way around these twistie roads..

okay not long to go now, id just like to no who is defnatly coming so i gan get a rough idea of how big this sucker will be.
Recommended driving practices
Basically abide by the standard road rules & don't do anything stupid, for instance:
- No burnouts, drifting, donuts or other associated illegal activities
- No Speeding or Racing
- No drink driving
- No Reckless driving of any sort

I was at a dyno day a awhile ago. got there early. Knew no one. No one spoke to me and when I attempted to make convo with a couple of ppl they shrugged me off... Caught up with 2 blokes and they were great but what was I supposed to say "Hey whats your forum name? I'm JezzaB" i mean im Jez to most ppl and Jeremy to others. I NOT going to introduce myself as JezzaB.

I can understand about validation, I really can. but it is quite hard I get "in the circle". Anyhow, I will be out more and I will say hello, maybe some ppl could say it back.. This is not meant to be a dig at ppl just a reminder that everyone was new at some point.
