You don't need the whole boot, just the VX garnish
that replaces the lights that run across the boot.

do the monaro lights have built in red reflectors ?

if not the car will be technically illegal without any rear reflectors.

VT light have them built in, VX have them in the rear bar

Monaro lights i can't remember right now.

Built in - no extra lights or lenses on a Monaro

Holden sell them for around $115 which is where I got mine from, most places wont be much cheaper than that, you will however have to get it painted and an extra wire run for your 2nd reversing lamp (I've recently been through this process with my VTII) :D

I never thought of that :bash: I should check to make sure I have some kind of reflector built into my taillights, although I know for sure they are ADR approved so I'd assume they do as they are designed for monaro's as well :)

if u dont wanna spend the 100 odd dollars on buying a new garnish, then painting it, u can just get the VT garnish painted. mines getting done soon. i personally like it better, has a better shape to it. up to u tho.

It might just be the couple that I have seen but they don't look right painted, you can always seem to tell it has the red plastic look underneath

My spraypainter also said that you have to prepare and coat it more so it costs more to paint than if you have a ready to paint VX garnish :)
