NOTE: if mods think it is inapproproaite topic please delete
just curious, as i have been on forum since dec 01 but do not even know who owns the rights/looks after ls1.com.au ???
obviously the mods help out looking after the forum, but who actually has the name registered, looks after all the hardware, pays the bills.
i suspect it is the member who has the as his avatar the guy from "Full metal jacket"holding the M60( forgot his username, sorry bout that), but im probably wrong.
can you guys enlightem me
cheers.

I think Sidewinder owns it. But really, its the members that contribute that make it what it is.

I thought there was another admin besides Sidey who assisted with the forum setup, but doesn't take any part in the day to day running.....
can't think of the username though

Do the mods get paid?

Only when we dance
:booty: :booty: :booty:

The sheer joy of being called a Nazi when you close people's threads is payment enough
Does the owner make money or is it a break even sort of deal.

Of course it needs to be said this is why Kris is 185cm and weighs 50kg and he is a bloke - draw whatever inference you want about his dancing style ;)

Nah Mozz, I've put on a little bit of weight .... though the extra weight could be all the money people shoved into my G-banger when I danced!

The owner does not make any money off the forum. All monies coming into the forum are left in the forum ... taxation laws don't allow otherwise

Idea! while any monies going into the forum, how bout giving us members a bit more space for our avatars :) instead of 80*80.. what about 100*100. Is a small increase not asking much as this forum grows and grows..That what we can see everyone's avatar clearly.

Nup! 80x80 is a good size. Most avatars a nicely visible at that size while speed of page loading is not sacrificed too much. Stepping up to 100x100 is a 25% increase in size, and would begin to impact on page loading times.
Don't forget it used to be 60x60.
