Can the longest allowable aluminium tray available for the VZ ute accomodate 2 australian standard size pallets?

Information from Holden recommends a maximum overall tray length, on their one tonners, of 2335mm, which is just short the lenght required for two pallets. Most tray builders, up here, build them at 2.4m which is just long enough for two pallets, although you may have difficulty closing the tailgate.

I agree that depending on how the pallets are packed may create issues with the overall length of 2 pallets. It appears that at 2.4m that the overhang of the tray would seem extreme and my concern is the capability of this vehicle to take a cantilever load so far out from the rear axle.

I would really like to hear from the Holden design team as to whether the commodore ute was intended to be a 2 pallet carrier or if the restriction in their recommended length was intended to avoid this type of loading. I need a new 2 pallet carrier for work and I'd prefer the comfort of the commodore to the hilux.
