Thanks Inter-ceptor, I thought it was around then.

Reason I ask is that my VY Cross8 has a November 2003 build date, and I assumed it was a Series 2. But it has the cats mounted horizontally about level with the dash like the series 1, rather than on an angle up closer to the headers, so now I'm :confused: when it comes to getting exhaust done :rolleyes: ...

Interesting. When I ordered my SV8 I took delivery of the car in June, but it has a build date of April (it was my old Telstra fleet car .. explains the delay!) When I took delivery, Holden were already advertising SeriesII stuff. Does it take that long (June->Oct) for stuff to make it's way into the showrooms. I'd be pretty PO'd to rock up in October to pickup my new Commodore and find it to be a SeriesI?

Thanks Dickie, that would make mine a series 2, but it has the series 1 exhaust setup.

Greg from Sureflo replied to an email to tell me all the Cross8's were like that. I'll have to stick my head under a VZ model to see if they are still done that way.
