Hi All,

I had my car in for service this morning at holden and asked them if they could install the VZ Monaro Gauges (All Supplied by me, gauges, harness for VY, pod, the lot). I was told that it'll take approx. 5 hours labour to install. But as it turns out there is no wiring harness available for those gauges. They said they could possibly make the wiring up themselves and install them no probs...................mmmmmmmm, oh and a whole days work which will equate to somwhere near the $600 - $700 mark for labour.

Has anyone got any better (cheaper) ideas on how to get these muthers installed?

I'd say it's quite a big job. I've asked some-one to post a description of what is involved, but to date no one has volunteerwd!!-Anyway,the dealer is going to have to pull your dash apart, stereo out etc etc, then connect oil sender connection to sump area etc etc,so if it was my car, I'd be wanting to speak PERSONALLY to the actual person who was going to do the job,to make sure he had the knowledge & qualifications to do the job.Cheers,pickles.
