This afternoon I was leaving the booth at the car park, the engine was still cold so was a little touchy to the throttle. When the gate went up and i wanted to go it took-off a little too quick (if you know what i mean - I didn't "floor it"), I backed off straight away (didnt get passed like 15-20kmh). The next thing i know there is a beep and the engine dies...cuts-out completely...I stop, put it in park and re-start it.

It started ok, and was ok unitl i got about 1km up the road, when again I gave it a little juice (not excessively) for a split second and backed off again...it hiccuped a bit but then went on its merry way without any hitches from there. When i say 'hiccup' I mean the revs died and it almost stalled again.

I should mention it was raining all day here in Bris.

Has anyone heard of/experienced this? Should I be worried?

700klms on the dial to-date.

Andrew

Hullo Andrew,

Take it back to where you brought it. Don't wait until it happens again you might not be in a 'safe' place if or when it decides to do it again. Think of your's and others safety first.

Cheers Savvy.

check you have the plug in for the maff or the other one under the maff pipe (air fuel mixture) I think.
Maybe bad fuel?
Don't worry too much unless it keeps happening.
I good maffless tune will fix it :D

wawoo, I had the same issue with a VT V6, and it turned out to be the crank angle sensor... Had the car stall a few times, and then not start again for a few minutes. The rev's would drop in traffic sometimes so low sometimes, I thought it was going to stall.

Jason.
