Unlocking s pack utes.

As i've come to understand the holden utes contain the 190KW alloytec but its restricted.

As the utes are restricted to 175Kw (i think) with the new alloytec, is there anyway to unlock the engine? will this void the warrenty given? can it be done at your holden dealer? Also, anybody have a clue why they did restrict it to 175KW, even on the s pack model? Any help would be appreciated.

I,m pretty sure that the main difference between the 175 and the 190 is all in the variable valve timing, the 190 has it on both intake and exhaust, the 175 misses out on one of these, (Most likely on exhaust).

There are two different versions of the new V6. There are hardware differences so it is not just a matter of updating the software and bingo bango, an extra 15 kW.
