How is this for VZ Monaro Fuel Economy. Mileage to Melbourne from Berrima was 10.6l/100km. My understanding was that the VZ with it's new diff ratio was a gas guzzler. I sat on 116 in the 110's and 103 in the 100's so no real foot stomping. Average Fuel Economy n the Computer for the previous 17000Km's was 12.2 - by the time I arrived in Melbourne it was 11.2. Driving around Melbourne for a couple of days and it's back up to 11.7..... ah city living is gonna be expensive on my wallet.

You make an appearance in melbourne and don't contact El Turismo di Monaro? Shame on you matey, shame.
So has the move occured or was that just a short trip because you love driving the car? :)
Oh and btw, I'm getting an average of 15.4L/100k around Melbourne. I haven't got a led foot but do like to get to the speed limit alot quicker than the guy next to me. Cruising at around 104kmh on my freeway trips each morning and evening.
Cheers,
Steve

VZ Koop I filled up at Lithgow and went to Bathurst and got 9.4L/100.
Not to bad I reckon for an auto with 3.73's in it plus a boot full of luggage and my wife (she wasn't in the boot)

What was typical fuel consumption of the old 5.0L Holden engine in a VN->VS body? I'd assume the worst LS1 would be better than the best 5.0 around town as well as highway??
