I am selling my Starr/Whipple 'twin-screw' supercharger system. This kit has made 455 rw kw on my mildly built 5.7 litre LS1 and has reliably propelled my CV8 down the quarter in 10.351 seconds with a trap speed of 138 mph on to be Australia's fastest LS1 for about 6 months and its time has still not been challanged by another 6 speed car.
This is not all about drag strip times though, the Twin-screw design offers something no other form of forced induction can, an ubundance of torque from idle, a massive top end and everything in between. Some other forms of FI maybe able to match it here and there... but not everywhere!
I am selling the s/c complete with the Camshaft (3rd and ultimate profile) that made the power and allowed perfect driveability... hell, even economy!
The kit is as follows:
3.3 litre Whipple twin screw supercharger
Starr pre-blower manifold with Starr 90mm throttle body
Whipple 50mm by-pass valve
Starr manifold and blower base
Starr water to air intercooler system including front mounted cooling radiator, pump, tank and hoses
Fuel system including 044 bosch m/sport pump, 50lb injectors, rising rate reg, custom fuel rails, 3 litre swirl pot
Starr blower remote drive and upgraded 8pk pulley kit including 8pk alternator, Harmonic ballancer, p/steer pulleys, upgraded idler pulley, whipple belt tensioner, and upgraded idler support
Wiring, two bar map sensor
Air box, filter and duct
Two boost levels 12-15 psi (a std engine friendly 9 psi is a no charge option)
All required nuts, bolts and washers
'The' camshaft
Spare belts
Endless advise
'The' Bonnet if one chooses
A VASTLY discounted rate to install and tune (if required)
This kit retailed for well over 23,000 dollars with out the cam or differant pulleys or spares.
I am selling it because i need to sell my car and am looking at other options.
Only $13,500
The kit is still fitted to my car and can be heard or driven, the kit has done less than 20,000 kays. If you are unsure of the power or driveability of this vehicle then feel free to ask around here.
You have the option for us to fit and tune the s/c package for under $1000.
