Hi guys,
just got approval from the Home Secretary to look for a replacement for the VY1 Clubbie. Has anyone seen a good buy at the dealers lately on either a low kilometre VYII or 2004 VZ around Sydney? I'm after an auto (So she can drive it :-)
I need a 5 seater so a Clubbie or a Senator is the the go.
I'd consider travelling interstate if the saving was enough.
I came across a 2004 VZ Senator with sun roof, DVD and Xenon lights for $72K drive away! But I'd like something a bit cheaper if possible.
cheers

I think you could probably pick up a demo model VZ clubby with low km's for around $55K drive away.
I just found this:

51K. That's damn cheap. 10 km/s on odo.

sHr3D,
Give McGrath Holden at Kirrawee a call. They have/had a black '04 VZ 6sp clubby with sunroof, ex demo with 300kms on the clock going for about $58000. Screw them down to around $56000 and it is a damn fine find.
I test drove it and was close to buying, but having owned a black car previously, I wanted a change.

:) I think the particular car yard doing the selling is actually a branch of the one in your town!!! I think it is on the Geelong road in Footscray. Flashy HSV building.
They appear to advertise all versions of HSV's in the dealer demo section even though they actually look like brand new stock, and a lot of the time the pictures don't match the discription but then again I could be wrong!

I think you're right there motomk. I think the place is called Allan mance hsv lifestyle. I went there last time and it was some dodgy office looking store. I was expecting a car yard but all they had was a few flashy hsv's in the 'office'.
I didn't bother walking in.

If you go to hsv.com, up the top where you look for the latest hsv there will be a used part to pick and it will show you all the used hsv in the country.

could anybody enlighten me why holden is so keen to give generous discounts. for example you could walk into holden and probably get 3-4k even 5k off the list price of a car. look at the stuff on carsales. brand new clubbie runout 10k discount :o .
you do not see ford doing this or manyother manufactures. they may give a few thousand off the RRP on a end of year sales, but nothing like what holden gives.
if i recall correctly FPV were giving free leather on their runouts, so it is about 2k bonus, not much when compared to what you can save on a hsv. is it holden or the actual dealer that is giving the discount?

I got a call from a guy at Barry Bourke's. They have an Implusle Blue VZ Clubsport for $53,990 plus duty ($2160). It's a demo done 3,000k and will cost locals $56,180 drive away including rego transfer.
That is way cheaper than Ive been quoted ($60k) for a VYII R8 clubbie with 6,000 klms!
It is a 2004 badged car and if it wasn't such a hassle I'd consider it as I would have to transfer rego (they would sell it without and tray it here) then pay stamp duty to transfer to NSW rego.
I must say after contacting these guys via carpoint I was real impressed with how accomodating and internet savvy they were. So if you are local to these guys and are keen PM me for the sales dude's name
