I had a stock VX SS exhaust that i gave away to a guy with a V6, he believed he was going to be able to fit it, not sure if he was moding the exhaust to fit. I havent got the PM anymore so cant give you his name sorry.

I don't think you can, well simple reason why i jumped to that conclusion is the stock v6 only came out with a single cat system. There is no doubt that you can install one, but that would mean that you would have to change your headers or modify the existing ones. With that in mind, I am not sure how the car would performe as well, as they do require a far bit of back pressure. In my eyes would be too costly, you best of getting a zorst system for your particular car...

You reminded me, i did look under his car and notice only one cat, he said he thought he could pick one up somewhere, so yeh there must be a little bit of modding to fit.

I sold my VX Clubby exhaust (minus headers) to a guy with VX supercharged 6. He had already talked to a few exhaust shops and they said it was pretty straight forward job.

He also mentioned that the HSV XU6 (supercharged 6) comes with a factory twin system very similar to the V8 one.

Good luck which ever way you go

I thought the VX supercharged came standard with 2 cat system ??? Cause even my VS superchraged commodore has 2 Cats when I purchased it from the police fleet back in the good old days.. :)

hey ssbarney havent fitted the exhaust yet, as other expenses have come up.
but yeah its deffinately possible, just need to upgrade your headers as you would normally, but get twin cat headers instead. im getting HM's stainless steal headers for my car. then grab two decent sized oem cats for relatively cheap and thats it.

all up for fitting the vx ss catback, cats and headers its $700.
$700 might seem steep, but the HM's are $630+ on their own.
ill upgrade the cat back at a later date with a full 2.25" or 2" depending on engine work.

and backpressures not a problem i know a fair few ppl on streetcommodores that are running twin cat system with much better results than running a single cat.

cheers again for the exhaust ssbarney. :)
