OK .. I read thru the previous thread and I'm still not 100% sure about this. Do you need to drop the struts to fit the bolts to fit the brace? Or can it all be done without touching the suspension?

Picked up VZ engine covers from the dealer last night and priced the brace at $45(I remember?).

Thanks,
Rod.

Thanks,
Rod. If your SV8 doesnt have the strut bolts on it already as some do for the stock curtain rod strut brace and you are fitting an aftermarket item then yes, the shocks have to come out to put the bolts in.

If you dont have the stubs (one treaded and one not) on your strut housings on the indside of the vehicle you will have to drop the struts and springs down about 5 cm - 10 cm to get the bolts into holes that you have marked and drilled yourself. Depending on your suspension set-up your struts may also have bearings (at the top of the strut housing) which you will need to be careful with.
