You used to be able to buy them from Holmart for $850 per set new, so less than that.

how can anyone drive on rims less than 18" these days.

Chances are those driving on 17's most likely engage in a spot of Motor sport activity....not to many real competition tyres ( Ie: Drag radials), out there in 18" for Circuit or drag work where tyres are purchased on the basis of performance rather than cosmetic appeal :p
W00T!!! My 17s rock! Yeah makes life alot easier with 17's to get the sticky stuff. Even the v8 super cars still run 17s.

Quite easily good sir. The $$$ saved when buying 17" tyres as opposed to 18" makes for quite a pleasant feeling :D :D .

I just sold my 17" SS wheels and factory tyres for $900. So for 18's I'd say around $1200.

wow. if i can get em new with tyres (anything but falkens) for $1400 locally, i will.
thanks for the info, i'll check out some holden.....errr........GM Holden dealers this week :p
My holden dealer had the 17's with tyres for $1450. Was talking to the guy who fixed my dash, and who works for a couple of dealerships in melbourne, and he said that they weren't genuine, because the genuine rims cost $400 each for the dealerships!!!
Mind you, I take EVERYTHING he says with a 3kg bag of salt......

Come to think of it, they might have been 17's at the local dealer I saw. I'll be there on Monday (another warranty issue  ), so I will check. Another dealer "ballaratholden" has 18's on Ebay for $1,799 with new Nankangs. The ones I was looking at didn't sell for $1,450.
