just wondering what the darside have been able to achieve with the xr8 unopened compared to the gen 3

There is a purple XR8 that ran 13.7 at Willowbank...its there near every meeting

13.7 sounds about right stock, ive asked elsewhere and most said a run in XR8 would get anywhere between 13.6 and 14.0 but alot of people are doing CAI's and K&N's. As for simply unopened, i remember seeing claims of 300rwkw from a GT on bolt-ons, but i havent seen anyone go that far with the XR8

I think it's Kev from G and D has run 13.1 unopened and Another guy has run 12.8 unopened in a pursuit
The best dyno figures unopened, are from a guy working pretty hard on the edit and he has 299.8 rwkw

Most Edit and exhaust XR8s can run from 13.4 - 13.2 @ 105 - 108mph

Those are the quickest times I've heard of from an unopened BA ... still a long way away from an unopened "11.8" LS1 isn't it :lol:

Due to the weight of the BA's they may not ever achieve the same results as the holdens, but remember the edit for the fords has only been out for about 6 months.....how long did it take to get a LS1 to those figures.

Their getting better horsepower figures from the fords, just need to put them on a diet and then make the driveline stronger

my boss just picked one up , he said its the best auto v8 he has ever drivin, and said the shift points are nice and firm, until i took him for FOR A SPIN in the Berlina, :driving: cant sell it now :booty:

The guy next door to my work has a stock VYII SS ute, thought it was awesome the way it wound up overtaking, then I took him for a spin in my ute and tought him a lesson in MIDRANGE... He's looking at getting the LS1 modded now LOL!

I have got 13.60 from mine with just a CAI.
They are a biiiiiiiiig car to get moving, as much if not probably more weight than the statos. Once the magic edit actually stops the computer from putting the auto into limp home mode there might be some more progress... but I agree, I doubt we will see 11.8 even with high stalls and low gears.
