Had my wallet lifted from my car at Philip Island on Sunday 29/5 while competing in the HSV club sprints.
The wallet was in the door pocket of my F250 which was backed up against my open pit garage and my guess is that it was taken while I was out on the track.
Had the usual license, visa etc. in there and about $300 but what cuts me up is the picture of me twin girls that was in there from X-mas which I only had one copy of.
The scumbag then went to the Hi-Fi Supermarket in Ringwood at 10.20 a.m. Monday morning and purchased a $750 Clarion car stereo on my credit card.{model no.DXZ946MP}
Unfortunately they have no video footage of the prick but have described him as mid 20's about 5'10",slim build, brown hair and well presented.
I will find this c#*t and ensure he gets whats coming but in the meanwhile if anyone has any info please contact me and I can assure you that I will not disclose your identity.
I am offering a $3000 cash reward to anyone that can supply me with the name and address of the culprit.
In the meanwhile prick if you happen to read this I suggest that for your own well being that you find a big rock to hide under because we will find you.

Any help would be most appreciatted-Mark

Sorry to hear that, i was there on sunday but i rode my push bike up from our house. That's a disgrace and i can't believe someone has first taken the wallet then gone and spent your credit cards. Considering the friednship and honesty bond everyone has the HSV track days its a disgrace someone has done this. I hope you find the prick. You mite find thats its a friend of somone else or maybe a non HSV member (not being biased here) as i notice a lot of different faces again on sunday.

One good thing .. a "restricted" patronage at that event might make it a bit earier to track down the a-hole?

Mate thats gotta suck.. I lost my wallet a month ago and I know how much of an inconvenience it is but if you have something sentimental in there makes it that much worse.. People should be more honest.. Mayb u should have canceled the cards straight away? Maybe if they try to use the card again they will be spotted and caught? Good luck on finding em.

Because I want to find the prick and I if it takes $3000 to have someone give him up so be it.
The joy I get from catching up with him will make it worth it.

Mate...very bad news...I hope you get the dude.

Im not familiar with the area you are talking about. If it is in a shopping centre, you may find they have CCTV footage of other areas of the centre. *(walkways, car parks etc)

If they have CCTV, Buy the fella in the Hi Fi shop a carton, and get him to view about 1/2 hour of various footage from the centre immediately after the purchase. Hopefully he will finger him. If he does, ring the local cops and youre on your way!!

Good luck.

yeah, thats one reason i don't carry my corporate card with me unless i *have* to... no limits can mean big probs.

One of the other guys at work had his details stolen while he was in melb by a cabbie... the cabbie gave the story 'the electric biller is out of order, i'll have to use the paper one' and once he did that he had all the details (love carbon copy - not!) he needed to make a bunch of internet purchases... fortunately the cops picked him and all the 'purchased' evidence up at his home!

Sorry to hear ur bad news... hope you find the prick and teach him a lesson...

so let me get this straight... you are prepared to offer a $3000 reward in an effort to spend a little time with this miscreant before the cops are contacted? Is that correct?

I will kick $100 bucks of my own money in to this reward if it comes off - BUT i want to watch.

That's the last place I would have thought something like that would happen. People leave all sorts of expensive tools, wheels etc around there while the're on the track.
That's a bastard of a thing to do.
I was there that day, but did'nt see anything like that. Hope its no-one from this forum.

Hopefully justice will be done. Good luck mate.

Hi

Good luck on catching the culprit. Obviously if the culprit turns out to be a member of this forum please let us all know so we do not fall into the same problem.

Richard
