hey peoples jsut here to have a winge about how people of today have no respect for nice things anymore, i'm 18 drive a vs ss ute, its my pride and joy u ask anyone who knows me they think i spend to much time with it lol. I had it parked next to my work out the front the other day, and came out to notice a scatch travelling from the rear bumper bar bulge along onto the jsut behind the rear tire arch, the scatch is about 300mm long and took my paint completely off, believe me peoples i was  , so the question is does anyone know of a good car repairer/paint work in albury-wodonga area that would fix this scratch for a reasonable price and a good finish, any advise would be greatly appreciated
cheers Maccas

first weekend after i picked up my 99 vs ss 3 ute i parked it on the st outside my mates place, came outside all hungover the next day and it had 3 dirty full length scratches from one end to the other. had just spent every last cent buying it (paid cash for it too) and took me ages before i could save up enuff cash to get the scratches fixed.
heh...now im on my second full respray, should have it back in a fortnight, cant wait.

Hey Maccas
Sorry to hear about that mate, it's rotten isn't it. I had someone back into my VX Clubby in a car park once, they just took off, didn't even look at what they had done. Fortunately someone saw the whole thing and got the rego for me ... shame you didn't have the same luck. If people just took a little more care we wouldn't have to worry about it, buts that's life I guess.
Hope the damage isn't too bad and hopefully she's like new before long, good luck buddy.

No respect all-right.
Every panel on my ute is damaged, some moron put a bag or purse on my bonnet and decided to drag it off, another low life decided to use my tailgate as a leanig post for their shopping trolly, I've had it graveled by a dickhead 4WD (Loser) Owner.
And the average wanker that decides to take off from a graveled Rd just beside/infront of you.
We all cop it mate.

My mother had a 91 black celica keyed a few years back.
F@*ken low lifes
I would love to see someone try doing it and they got caught out by the owner.
I would hope the next would then happen to the scum:
:kapow: :nutkick:
Anyway, sad to see these things happen and people cannot respect others or their property.

Yeah I also only had my VY SS 6 weeks from brand new and had it keyed all the way down one side. I had just put three coats of wax on it too earlier that day. F'n pricks, I tell you I'm still fuming. $1000 (minimum) is the cost to get it fixed, and I just don't want to fork out that sort of money when it will probably happen again. If I ever caught the prick/s, I'd probably be in jail now.

Few years back, my mate, myself and our girls came out of the movies in George St one night to find 3, not 1 not 2 but '3' would be homies sitting on the bonnet of his fibreglass bodied Corvette!
After the ensuing melee :box: they went to hospital, my mate, myself and his girl went to the police station where they tried to charge us with assault after Peter broke this guys jaw.
You know, that little episode cost me more than $2000 in court stuff and solicitors and that, but I tell you , to this day im still glad we caught the bastards.

Nice one, but sucks how the ones in the right (you and your friends) cop the trouble from the law.
It's just plain wrong.

Dont know if you have had your car done yet mate, i feel sorry for ya im in Albury also and a mate's VT Senator got done from front to back in the SS&A carpark and i remember the look on his face when we found it. See Scott at BF panels 0260251611 at the Knights Rd Facility i do part time towing for them and they are great at their job. Or another mate of mine owns Ultimate Panel & Paint in Yarrawonga 0357431844 and is also very good at it.

What's with all these VS SS utes?.. I might be getting a bit crotchety, but I'm sure there never WERE VS SS utes... Only S utes (with the V8).

I'm one of the least knowledgable Holden experts, but I'm pretty sure that the last of the VS utes (SeriesIII) were available as SS's ... I've seen a few around. They'd been nice little utes too if you were too worried about towing/carrying stuff (unfortunately my wife likes to loadup/tow sh!tloads of stuff .. hence I have a AUII V8 one-tonne ... )

Was only a limited run of about 300 VS SS utes. I think they all came in the dark blue colour but correct me if I am wrong. Had the VT SS wheels in 16's or 17's....can't remember. Nice utes.

Well there ya go, must have missed those ones! I do remember the SS ute being a big feature in the VT range, but not in the VR/S. (I had a V8 VR 'S')
Did these have the same trim as the S, just with the upgraded wheels? Or did it have a carryover bodykit from the sedan?... The "S" had nothing more than a red stripe and colour coded bumpers and mirrors - oh and bucket seats and LSD (if memory serves)...

True, Holden made 400 VS SS Series III utes. I wanted one, till I saw the VU. actually it was "VU 350" at the Supernats that made me decide.

yes well I cant agree more. Mu mums copped it with her company car
Its a brand new SV6, we take more care of it then our VS and Prelude combined, its always detailed every saturday morning, washed. waxed, polished and chamiod (however its speld) (I work in a service department of a prestige dealership so Ive got access to the proper detailing sprays and detergents etc), the cars always well looked after, always garaged, tyre pressures checked, fluid levels checked and topped up as required, interior vaccumed, armour all on the dash, tyre shine on the tyres, all brake dust cleaned from the wheels etc.
Well the first incident was the antenna, it wouldnt go all the way down. Mum took it to Holden to have fixed, but they broke it further and proclaimed its $150 to fix. Mums company put it through insurance and the insurance asked for a 3rd party smash repairer to have a look and report what was wrong before they granted $150 to fix - turns out the antenna has been attacked under the guard by a hacksaw or bolt cutters and literally cut off its bracket. Holden has told us that it wasnt them, it was us that has caused this damage. My question is why the hell would we go to all the trouble of taking off a wheel, I assume crawling in under the guard, and cutting the antenna on a 3 week old car? What purpose does that serve?
Then during the week mum was putting some folders onto the back seat (standing at the back door) at a shopping center car park and some dumb biatch backed her car out straight into the front of mums car. Its put a fairly large scratch into the bumper.
Mum then thought rather then let it go or put some touch up paint on it and cover it up, she'd do the right thing so she contacted her work who told her to take the car straight to work and fill out an accident form, so she did.
Once again they put it through insurance to have it fixed, and the lady reckons it was my mum who drove out of the spot and into her car, and that because there is no witnesses they have no proof of what happened and therefore it cannot be her fault (unless prooven). Insurance now doesnt want to pay because they cannot get a straight story and have practically said the police should have been called to it then!!!!
Now the head office has questioned my mum as to why she has put 2 insurance claims in on a 3 week old car, and has labelled her a high insurance risk in their company cars.
It makes you upset, especially when we put so much time, effort, and money into looking after a car thats not even ours, to have that happen.

.......not much I can do now just have to fork the money out to get it fixed :bash: Typo's corrected
 Please don't tell me you have no insurance!
I've been hit 3 times by at fault uninsured drivers. Because I had insurance, my vehicles were fixed asap by my insurer and they chased up the other person without involving me at all. (I found out much later, they even sued the one of them)
My grandad used to say if you can't afford insurance, you can't afford to drive the car out of your garage.
