On the multimedia section in this forum, there is a vid of a LS1 doing a 11 second pass and the clutch was dumped around 5,000 to 6,000 rpm!!!
Had to be slicks. Hard not to feel sorry for the drivetrain if it was stock.

Have many of you experimented with the tract. control during launches?
Most people here seem to dislike the idea of the traccy, and i found that launching with the traction seems to just slip the clutch... without it i was getting fairly nice launches from 2500 - 3000rpm.
With it my clutch just spun (badly!) and it took ages to get rid of the stench :/
Clutch is only 6500km old, so i'm not inclined to blame a dodgy clutch for the slipping...

The more power you get the less you can afford to slip the clutch. I learned this the hard way, when I upgraded from my Ford Laser to my current ride the clutch lasted 2 weeks. Expensive but valuable lesson that was.
