Can anyone help me out ? I was wondering what price I should be paying for strathfield car radio to install four 6" speakers into the four doors of my VZ (original speakers dont do the blaupunkt justice). I know pretty much nothing but removing door trims and installing audio so dont want to be ripped off. Any replies appreciated :)

I nearly allways get professionals to do work on my car but for a simple speaker install I would do it myself. I did the full install into my SS (multiple speakers, amps, subs, stacker, HU etc) and it was pretty straight foward. Replacing the door speakers is very easy! There is a PDF floating around with instructions on how to remove the commodore vt - vz door trims to.
Having said that if you were to pay someone for that job I would pay $60 max. Not that I would trust Strathfield with my car.

I have to agree there!!
The best bet is to make a thread in the technical audio section of the forum where like minded people can have a proper in depth discussion about this topic without the mods getting cranky. ;)

hehe i was contemplating that but didnt think it was a technical audio question, more of a 'general' enquiry
