I'm no mechanic but that looks like crap.

Glad it's not in my car. ;)

If a cheap purchase looks good to me.
Would be good in a light car at the drags.

Prove that it is a the CB4 300kw engine though. This guy who sells all this stuff is a rip off. His prices for engines etc from wrecked cars are more than what you can buy them brand spanking new. He trys and sells wrecked gen3 motors, with 50,000 odd on the clock for 6 grand :( You can buy them brand new for $5500 or even less these days...... but thats my thoughts anyways ;)

The only usable parts would be the block and crankshaft and maybe the extractors, still not $900 worth.

Holmart had a special a month ago brand new complete motors $4,900 no alternator, T/B, PCM or wiring but still cheap.

If you have look at what else that have on that ebay site you will find at the bottom of items for sale list what I suspect is the matching gear box. The heat was so intense that the gear box box casing has melted and you can see the internals clearly. Got to be a big punt buying that motor - probably auctioning it because no one in their right mind would buy it follwoing a visual inspection.

I wouldn't even use that as a boat anchor. Yes that ebay seller is well known for their dodginess and ripoffs. Steer clear of them.

Anyone noticed one of the questions somebody asked them? They asked "Did you remove the inlet manifold and do you still have it?
Duuurr, the LS1 intake manifold is plastic and would have melted beyond recognition.

sorry, couldn't say that with a straight face.

I have complained to ebay about some of his auctions, although not much appears to happen.
may be an idea to move this to private

I was watching thie R8 seats that he had up for auction. If I had a dollar for each time he changed the sell price/starting bid I'd be a bloody millionaire.

Dodgy to say the least.

Not long ago they had a VP senator for sale, stat writeoff, bare shell without running gear. In the ad they wrote "Has full HSV wraparound interior". Then I looked at the pic of the car and it was t- boned hard on the drivers side and the seats looked practically useless as they were buckled/twisted from the impact. They wanted a ridiculos price for it and it was relisted so many times its not funny.

To their credit, they do (as far as I know) allow inspections, and they only thrive because silly people pay big bucks for the stuff. :)

It's not like they're being downright dishonest (all the auctions I've seen always show photos of the damage), they're just thriving on gullible people. :)

She's a beauty!

The ad even states 'can be registered'. Looks like a nice road worthy ride with no engine, gearbox and part of the car missing. Sunroof thrown in for free.
