Here's something to speculate on. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day who has been talking to a few Holden Dealers about a new Monaro. He said that the difference in product knowledge/interest amongst different salesmen/dealers is amazing. However he did speak to one person, who said that THERE WOULD BE A CV8R RELEASED LATER THIS YEAR.The car would be a "sort of orange colour", with "a few other little extras"! The salesman also said "there was a good chance" that it would be LS2 powered. Of course, this is all speculation, but it would be good if it was true wouldn't it? Anybody else heard anything along these lines? Cheers, Pickles.

I'm awaiting a changeover price to a VZ munro, so I think I may wait a bit
just have to decide, devil yellow again, or phantom.....

Last year's CV8-R was on the website in March, and the first ones arrived August-September IIRC. Can't see it myself. I think they're waiting on a runout model in 2006.

the orange colour has been mentioned a few times but i don't think it will mean CV8R. I believe it was just another new colour for the Munro.

In the US the '06 GTO is listed with 'Brazen Orange' and 'Spice Red'. Spice is our 'Shanghai' from other Commodores, and Brazen appears like it might be Fusion. Their sample colour strips aren't very good at approxiating what the paint looks like. I'd say what they get, is what we'll get.

Excellent post Dacious-the colour I mentioned would obviously be Brazen Orange. I was in the Holden car park (Fisherman,s Bend) last week, & actually saw a Monaro in that colour, but as I've said, I have no solid information!!- & HSV did say that Holden would not get LS2!- cheers, Pickles.

The Brazen Orange has a colour code of 66u Funny my Fusion VZ Monaro had this number on a piece of masking tape stuck to the filler flap when I picked up It was put there by the paint sprayers when they were painting the rear spoiler.
Looks like it must be the same colour as Fusion
