View Full Version : VZ Monaro Test drive and $2k discount offer propaganda
Any one else got a little something in the mail from their local Holden dealer?
Cute little black booklet with a Turismo VZ Monaro in the front. Holden are offering test drives and $2000 off a new Monaro ala GM card style.
Could it be they are clearing the decks for VZ Series II ;)

argh please dont say that about a newer version. Im on the verge of buying a VZ.
Say it aint so!
I've been of two minds, having a paid off VX Monaro, as to whether I should trade up or tweak and keep the existing car.
I imagine you could hammer the dealer down in price to say 55k then throw this 2k voucher on top and then, wait for it, slap them funny with a GM card 3k discount.
Why does this remind me of Big Mac vouchers

no such thing as a vx monaro :p
they are V2 series 1, 2, 3 and now VZ
I was quoted $65450 driveaway on a VZ monaro, with $30,450 trade on my 77000km old 2002 VY SS today.

Wat tha.....$65,450 for a new Monaro?????? think their trying to rip you a new :booty: hole.......There's a Brand new Turismo 1 @ Ballan Holden for $54,000 and if i was looking at getting a new monaro(which i am) i would be just waiting a couple more months, as i reckon they will be comming out with the bigger engine. Cheers.

The only figure that matters is the changeover price, which is $35,000. The trade in offer appears ok, but basically I now have something to work from.

i bought one of the last 04's (CV8R) mostly because the price was too good to pass up. dealer price of $52k drive away less GST (on the novated finance deal) = $48k then less $3k GM card rebate, I paid about $45k drive away (versus RRP of $65k drive away). Most of the Sydney dealers were asking much more than i paid just for second hand cv8's
