I have three original A3 size posters of the blue Holden Coupe Concept car that have each been signed by Peter Brock. The poster shows the coupe being driven at speed with lights trailing behind it.
1 X "Follow your dreams"
1 X "Enjoy Life"
1 X "Make the most of life"
I have a 4th framed and hanging on my wall, looks great.

I am interested to know if anyone has an idea what they may be worth or ideally if a forum member would be interested in them as a whole, or perhaps three local guys to the Mornington Peninsula might be interested.

Ideas or interest?

Evening,

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is the very reason the these fellas sometimes avoid signing for people.
Pete is one of the ones that will go out of his way to sign for little kids and all of his "genuine" fans?
This, in my opinion is "profiteering" on the goodwill of this icon of Australian Motorsport!
He signs in good faith and then people make a buck on the side.
Just my two bogs worth, but I reckon it sucks!!!

Hang them on the wall of the Shed, give them to your kid's etc, but don't "HAWK" stuff that should be a collectable for you.

Just my views!!!!!

I guess if you get a few and sell them quickly then I'd agree with you Hogs....but seeing this thread made me think of a lovely signed and framed 25 years of Bathurst James Hardie 1000 poster I got nearly 20 years ago sitting in my back bedroom gathering dust that'd be best off in a better home, but now I'm too embarrassed to post it up!!! I'd hope that wouldnt be considered profiteering!!!

your view sucks. for your info I happen to have had these posters sitting in a draw since the introduction of the coupe and felt that maybe they would be better appreciated by other holden owners. They have been taken by three members of the forum for basically the cost of postage.
if I had wanted to make some money from them I would have put them on ebay. I bought them at a charity auction for more than the cost of a cylinder envelope and a stamp I can reassure you.

Evening,

Sorry for the mis interpretation of your post. I mean that.

However, I have followed Motorsport and AFL with a passion for decades, and I know for a fact that many of the AFL players avoid signing some collectables because they then pop up in Retail Outlets for vastly jacked up prices.
This is even exploited by dealers providing pictures, posters etc to kids to get signed providing the impression of the inocent fan.
All for making a $$$$$!

You can say that my attitude sucks, and based on your individual situation I got it wrong, but the exploitation I have just explained sucks even more!!!!

I have many photos of my kids, 16 and 13 with drivers or AFL players, and many have a greeting on them. I hope that my grand children have the same opportunity, rather than having to pay like is the case in much proffessional sport overseas.

Having said that, they may be watching battery operated cars going around in circles in the future????

Sorry if I misread your post.

Cheers,

Hogs, :o
