Today while on my way home from work a Black VY SS Ute, with 19" VY GTS rims pulled up beside me at the lights and F**K me I though it was a V8 supercar, it was so bloody loud and with the cam in it, it was shaking the ground, if anyone knows the owner of this carm id like to know, as Id like to ask where the work was done.

I saw it in frankston by the way, and damn it sounded mean, and when he took off it was extrtemly quick !

By the sound of it that one went quick.. but I have lost count of the number of "tough" sounding cars up here that go like a bucket of sh!te..stupidly lumpy cam and/or poor tune and straight through exhaust and voila.. your own V8 super car!!

Yeah, all the rumble with none of the performance.

I was expecting that from an old Charger on the highway in front of me today, but when he put his foot down it went reasonably well all the way up to 160km/h or so. Sounded pretty tough too.

Red VY Maloo screamed past in town tonight. Had a nice rumble and seemed to really fly. :)

Couldn't say the same thing about the old kingswood in springwood though. Was louder than a V8 supercar but seemed to take off in slow motion. Took off at the lights and almost cleaned up the light pole. :limpy:

Just remember it's not how tuff it sounds but how hard it goes...just look at the 11's for bolt on only these days....

i kinda disagree, if i jsut wanted a car to go hard id pick something other than a v8. half the reaosn for owning a v8 is for the sound!

Ahh.. what the?

Your V8 is does not go hard enough?

The point I was making was if your car mumbles and grumbles like the world is coming to an end but you have trouble keeping up with a Daihatsu Sirion...then don't be surprised if you cop a few giggles...

i understand. and yes it sort of goes hard enough, im saving for a hp tune from sams :P

all im saying is, its cheaper to make a lighter car go faster up to a certain point. but i bought into a v8 becuase of the sound and the low down torque, and of course the power :)
