Alright I was going to get my 304 injected V8 Engine rebuilt with quality gear to suit the Vortech V-2 Quiet Supercharger - Water Injection - Stage 3 - 10-14 Boost, 340kw.

But we all know the 5.3lt Gen 3 fuel injected motor is a better engine to work on and to gain more kw. I was most likely looking at around five thousand dollars just to get my engine rebuilt with quality gear.... I have been looking around and found a 5.3lt Gen 3 fuel injected motor good runner low milage Cost $3300. . Is the price worth it for the the engine? Im thinking it is (I will get it rebuilt if needed)
And would my VN fit the engine easily or would I need to get adjustments done?

I would rather rebuild this engine as it is more powerful and I could do a few simple mods to get the kw that I was looking at for the Vortech V-2 Quiet Supercharger on the 304 injected 5lt engine.

I was looking at $10,000 for the Supercharger and Vortech/CAPA Complete air-to-water system. Total of $15,000 with the engine rebuilt and another $2000 to get the supercharger and complete air-to-water system installed plus another $2000 on performance breaks (As I have trouble stopping now  ). Total $19000...

Now I am thinking I could spend around $8-10000 on rebuilding the 5.3lt Gen 3 fuel injected with quality gear, rollers rockers, new pushrods, valvesprings (If I need to rebuild it) and a few simple mods, camshaft and lifters, Extractors, CAI, Bigger Throttle Body/Manifold, a tune from Sam's Performance (I would be getting him to rebuild the engine if needed and also fitting it in :D ) giving me more kw then what I was looking at supercharging my 304 injected?

Im needing opinions on what you guys think.
(I want a good strong street car with alot of toque and power)
My Car already has a Stage 2 Quick Shift, 3.7 Ratio Lsd, CAI....

At that price it would probably be a steel block engine...much heavier than an all aluminium GENIII like the LS1.
Dimension wise, it would be all but identical to an LS1, cept for the about face sump on a Holden engine, which you'd need anyway for the VN's crossmember.
Much easier to just get an aussie LS1 to start with i reckon.
There have been a few threads in the past on here about fitting GENIII's in the narrower VN engine bays, so have a search around and see what needs doing.
But in the end, you are just going to sink alot of money into what will still just be a VN....maybe better (and cheaper) to upgrade to something with a GENIII in it already.

Well my VN is in immaculate condition inside and out, HSV leather interior, HSV Bodykit, Original Walkinshaw Blue, (It is a head-turner, I am willing to spend money on it, I love it and just got three months ago).

I will start searching for an Aussie LS1 :D .
