I like the current one heaps better.
I think the new model looks heap better, and the interior should be alot better if it's like the Astra.

It does indeed look like a larger version of the Astra.
Not quite as agressive looking as the current Vectra but still, not too bad.

Given that car companies try are incresingly trying to maintain a "family" resemblance.
Does that styling indicate a potential direction for the VE??

I thought I read some where that the small and mid size Holdens are going to be replaced with rebadged Daewoos??

The current model Barina (Opel Corsa) is being replaced in September by a new model Barina based on the Daewoo Kalos.
Don't forget all-new Holden Tigra (Opel Tigra) convertible launch later this year as well.
The TS model Astra Classic (old model Opel Astra) is being replaced in September by an all-new model called Holden Viva based on a Daewoo Lacetti.
This looks a smart looking car and if priced right should sell like hotcakes!
The new AH Astra continues as Holdens "premium" small car offering with new 3-door hatch and 5-door station wagon models arriving in October.
And the new model Vectra being released soon in Europe is expected to arrive here next year.
Holden have a busy next 18 months ahead with all the new car and SUV launches coming up, especially VE Commodore.
Actually it looks like the Vectra will be axed from the range and replaced by the Daewoo Magnus with a Holden badge. The Dewoo Kalos is a pretty crude device and doesn't deserve the Barina badge.

I recently had a salesman at a well known Canberra dealership tell me two things about the Vectra:
1) A Vectra will EASILY outperform any of the V8s in the Holden range; and
2) Within 5 years you will input where you want to go (eg home to work) and the Vectra will drive you there without any driver input!
He was telling me this while we were waiting 2 and a half hours to take delivery of my wife's new Astra.
These people really need to lift their game.

Must be a disease...I had a guy at work here who got his Vectra on novated lease and was pleased as punch tell me the salesman told HIM that the Vectra was the quickest car in the Holden range at least off the mark. Eats SS!

It is a VERY fast car over those first 3.75m....

Hmm...um, yeah it's a decently quick car (my parents have an '03 CDX auto) - but it's not in performance car territory...

A former workmate of my father's went into a dealer and spoke to the same salesman who had bullshitted to his wife the day before.
The salesman repeated the lies, underquoted on the vehicle and misrepresented the included options on the car too.
Problem for the dealer was that he had a tape recorder in the top pocket of his shirt!!!
Guess who got a very cheap new car for much less than the dealer paid for it!!!
