I have a lovely VYSS with a cat back zorst and plan on doing a mafless tune asap but first want to do my cai but simply cant decide on which one .My future plans for car will be 3.9's in diff and thats all these are my choises and I dont mind induction roar.
1:mcai plus gts maf pipe 2 hole and k&n.
2:K&N air charge or starr pod or unifilter pod set up etc.
3:G&D otrcai or sureflo etc.
Basicly I want the best power gain not to fussed on price any feed back will help my decision. :)

OTRCAI, only reason I went the Unifilter sealed pod
over this is because I didn't want to trash my
dual engine covers to get it to fit. Being a VY
you already have an MCAI by the way :)
Edit...Did you end up getting those photos Daz?

Definately OTRCAI.
Black346 no need to change the engine covers. I've seen the PT OTRCAI fit with both VZ SS covers and VY HSV dual engine covers with no modifications.

I assume they're the nice HSV style ones that everyone used to get before the VZ ones came out so cheap. That's what YIIR8 has and his OTRCAI fit without a problem. Maybe YIIR8 has a pic somewhere....

Go the OTR intake. The Sureflow one looks crap IMO but works very well.

Unless you want to bend your condensor I wouldn't. You shouldn't have to bend things to get an OTR to fit.

My one that I used to have "pictured above" was from HPF it never had a filter and wasnt designed for one, cost was about $400- ish, gave me 0.30 1st run i used it with no other changes to the ute.

I didn't know you had to have the condensor bent for it to fit. :bash:

Andrew, you dont have to bend the condensor on VY onwards, thanks. We are well into development for a new style for earlier VT and VX.
