FE2 is the stock suspension setup that comes in an SS. (stiffer suspension, better handling etc).
Your mates would ride alot smoother, but handle, corner alot worse.

FE2 usually sits 1-1.5 inches lower than standard, beats driving around in a 4x4.

Except when you order a 2100kg tow hitch and Holden add their sophisticated "tow-pack" kit ... ie. air shocks.

Does the front sit higher due to there not being a V8 in it ?

FE2 is also fitted to the Police Pack Commodore.
In the VT FE2 was aprox $450 option when buying the car new.
FE2 has heavier duty shocks, and coils. I've been told the front swaybar is different and I've been told it is the same as standard, so I'm not sure and I haven't bothered to check.
We've always optioned FE2 in our Commodores. Firmer ride, but also like driving a train on tracks. In comparison, the standard suspension floats and bounces around. FE2 is money well spent.

Also has gas pressure rear dampers, and the front stabiliser bar is bigger also. Agrees on the better than standard. Alot better. It is firm but as Herc pointed out, with handle, corner better than ya mates car.

I think you mean cm not inches, my last 4 commodores have had FE2 and there is no more than an inch in it. At least there wasn't on the 3 new and 1 used versions that I had!
