Best to spend the extra and get a good quality one. There is some scary stuff pouring out of China these days. Besides, I'd never get under a car that's not supported by chassis stands or some other backup.

I think I bought one of those ... because I went to SuperCheap, AutoBahn, some other car joint, BigW (basically all the places in my town that sell jacks) and they ALL have cheap SHIT. I couldn't buy anything else locally. It's just which label do you want on it??

When metal is made they do strength tests on it. As the metal brakes ideally they should get some type of trend in the graph as the force increases. They don't get this, when they do a scatter plot the dots are everywhere and they do a line of best fit which really doesn't mean jack if the plot is so messy. This was told to me by a metallurgist in australia that used to do the tests. I don't trust steels strength let alone something that is made in China. You may get some good metal, you may get some weak metal.

I looked around for a good jack that would fit under my side skirts with the least amount of fuss and had sufficient reach. The 3Tonne jack they had was great. Long reach, and even though they recalled it i still believe that is more then sufficient to do the job.

But at the end of the day would you risk your life against something that is not approved or has been recalled? IMHO even though a 3T jack might be sufficient for a commy, you just dont know. Buy a good jack and stands and leave these crappy superworks... crap to the people that made them. Whats a 100 bucks when it comes to your life! :bash:

The only stuff I'd consider buying from them is Oil eg. Mobil 1 or Castrol Formula R etc.

Anything without a known brand, forget it.

Most of the stuff they sell is "el cheapo" Chinese manufactured junk!

If your in WA and you need some quality bargains, go to MALZ in Cannington. Created by the legendary guy who started Marlows, they have some awsome gear, and usually come down on prices.

Ahh Marlows they were good. Super Cheep an automotive version of the junk shop. The only stuff you can trust from there has a name brand on it and these are normally not that cheap.
