Never used it but from memory it is down between the console and passengers seat almost on the floor.

I've been told that you just pop the passenger side off the transmission tunnel and it's taped up in there. Never gone looking for it myself, but I'm sure someone on here can confirm

It is in the hollow in front of the gearstick in the console. Right at the back. There should be a plastic knob in the hole. Pull it out and connect the phone.
Thanks. (I have been to a number of mobile shop's and none of then could tell me)
Now my next qestion, what sort of car kit should I get.
I have a nokia 3230 (with bluethooth) so I want the car kit to be bluethooth.
Will the kit just plug in, or is there more to it???
I have seen in the VY's that the kits run through the radio and can be partly controled be the radio controls on the steering wheel. And when the phone rings the radio get muted.
Is this the case with my car???
And will i have to run a wire to connect the mic to??? (or is it already there)
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. You can buy the Nokia CK-7W which is bluetooth and also has a plug you can use for hard wire.
You will need to hide the control box after wiring it up and the mic.
The yellow wire is the one that controls the mute on the radio.
Put the speaker under the glove compartment securly where you can hear it.
Wont take you long at all...most of the time is in hiding everything.
Regards
Bob
Will the CK-1W work with my phone? and what's the difference between them both?
Does the sound not come through the radio speakers???
And will i have to wire up the mute or will it work just by connectiong the kit to the car via the plug(in the passenger footwell)

Egan,
While the Nokia Kits are good they are not tyhe be all end all and if you like to update your phone regularly then you may want to have a look at the Parrot Bluetooth kits.
Have a look at this thread:

Great info and there are even step by step instructions. The Parrot is cheaper than the Nokia's and looks like a better deal. If you are not comfortable doing the work yourself get someone to help who has done it before. While it is not complex a bit a patience is required. Have a look at the thread.
Also have a look at the parts thread:

I added the part number for the plug and pins a couple of weeks ago.

VYII the connector is in the passenger side footwell at the very front of the transmission tunnell open glove box and remove 2 screws in the side and then you can flex the right kickpanel out without taking the glove box out, once out it will be sitting there white female plug 6 pin taped too existing cabeling.
I have got the plug to that connects to the loom in my car, my car kit should be here tomorrow, but i dont have a multimeter.
Does anybody know what colors wires are what???
There are only four acc, constant, earth and mute.
Thanks
