Hi - ive done a search, but couldnt find an answer..
Does anyone in Melbourne know of a place where i can get my guards rolled?
My rear tyres are scraping just a fraction - i would say the lip would only have to be rolled about 5mm up.
Or are there people that come to you to do this?
To the people that have done this, what did it cost.
Thanks

Dunno about that. Paint was never designed to go around corners. The front ones can be heated and rolled with no cracking. On a Monaro, the lip is double-layered and cannot be rolled easily. All I know is I want a job that has ZERO paint cracks and looks totally professional. Only a workshop with professional painting facilities can guarantee that for the Monaro.

I totally agree with you grant, my rear guards get rolled tomorrow and im already stressing out about the paint cracking lol Im not so trusting with my monaro and would prefer a workshop job espically with CSV's great reputation.

Got my ute guards rolled at Herrod Automotive (ph:9464-5100) in Thomastown 6 months ago.
Perfect job, very professional.
I was referred by a friend who had his done 2 years ago, also a great job and never had any problems, i.e paint cracking etc.
Cost about $120 from memory.

Holy thread mining Batman!! :lmao:
Dean at Black Diamond's did mine as part of my new rims/tyres and lowering on the ute. Did a great job too - far better than the panelbeater who did my SSV sedan! :goodjob: I suggest you PM or ring John (Black Diamond) at Protek Tyres in Oakleigh to get a price.

I think you blokes will find that shops like CSV get a mobile guard roller in for the job. Much the same as walls getting done on tyres. That way they get a dedicated pro for the job and if there's any stuff ups the shop doesn't have to rectify, the mobile guy does.
