Just looking at Monaros on Carsales and came across this car – is this the new Fusion interior that is going into Fusion and Phantom Monaros as of next month?

Holden’s site doesn’t have it yet, so it looks as though this car may have been a ‘test’ build, like that Fusion exterior Monaro that someone here bought a little while back. I doubt that the previous owner has had it retrimmed considering the gauges are also orange.

Yuck!!! That's terrible... And the wing!!! Way to ruin your Monaro, but whatever floats your boat.

Yeah, I reckon any deal on that car would have to be inclusive of spoiler disposal, hole filling and bootlid respray.

That whole interior is garish ,with the steering wheel highlights and so on.I can't believe A/ that's what Holden thinks people want to buy & B / that's what people want to buy ;)

Yep I like this interior much better. I think its called Ochre. Its really tan but they love using strange colour names :)

That Fusion interior is yuk! The red was way better.

That bottom pic looks more like the 'Flame' interior on the early Monaros.
I doubt that would be the colour.

That Ochre is perfection, looks awesome.

The Flame/Fusion or whatever that colour is on the Monaro looks shithouse. :bash:

Stupid question but I haven't had much to do with the Monaro's, is the coloured trim around the footwell area factory? Also what's the go with the steering wheel? Looks putrid.

Yes the coloured trim around the foot wells is factory. The steering wheel is not.

Off topic a bit but im over in Ireland at the moment and have just had a couple of hours test drive in a 997 Carrera S. The old mans had about four 911s including the 996 turbo, a 360 Modena and currently has a Maserati V8 and Cayenne S (either of these last 2 sound more like a V8 than my r8 and the Maser under full throttle - lovely - sits at 240 kmph rock steady and has HEAPS to go)
Anyhow this silver 997 had this chocolate brown leather interior (coco) that nearly looks like suede and Ive got to say I reckon this is probably the most beautiful interior I have ever seen (colour wise). If Holden/HSV did this colour I would have one tomorrow, I had seen it somewhere in a mag or something but photos do not do this colour justice!!
Cheers jay
PS the Cayenne has a tiptronic 6 speed box, I am fantazising about this box behind an LS2, I have been up and down some of the narrowest, twistist and bumpeist roads in Northern ireland and this box is great- always in the right gear, its amazing what Porsche have been able to make a 2.3 tonne suv do. I have cornered this thing faster than I think I would like to corner my R8 as I think the R8 would probably have oversteered off the road due to some of the HUGE mid corner humps.
Old mans gonna try and score a test drive in the f 430 so hopefully Ill get to drive another super car hehe

OMG what have they done. That Telstra orange interior look's totally disgusting!

The original Series one Monaro flame interior looks way better being of a bright red and only mildly orange in tinge.

Oh and what's the deal with that coat hanger on the back?

Is that Ochre interior pic from a Coupe 4?

Mimo

Yes and only the Coupe4 gets that nice interior colour.

The seats that you refer to as ochre are indeed very nice, but aren't they HSV Seats-the stitching is different-I think I've seen these in a Coupe 4. Cheers, Pickles.

Looks like the Coupe 4 interior except for one thing, in this photo there is a Traction Control button (I think?) just in front of the arm rest. No such button in the Coupe 4 now, may have been a photo of a pre-production model though? But yes, the interior is very nice, but I still prefer the black.

Yeah exactly, it isn't that orange, it's more of a 'terracotta' sorta red. It suites the style of the S1 interior along with the exterior colour very well.

Whereas that with the steering wheel trimmed and the oranges gauges just makes it far to much to take in.

That Coupe4 or whatever it is interior looks beautiful, classic style white gauges and nice tan trim, very nice.

Amazing how up market an interior can feel simply due to an appropriate choice in colour.

Too right. :) And also the type of trim, and how much is trimmed in what colour. Perhaps some of the Autosalon boys should take note...

As one can see from my profile I own a Fusion Monaro. After owning a Phantom VY SS with an awesome red leather interior I found the Black Leather interior in the Monaro to be very sombre and just too much black.
I just seen the pictures of the fusion interior :spew: and jeez am i glad I have the black leather now. I honestly can't seen Holden fetching out anything as putrid as that.

Not a fan of the orange nor the Tan. Orange is far too bright and over done, yet the Tan IMO looks too cardboardy and conservative for a sports car. Each to their own tho.

White would be my choice, like the 2003 Limited Edition has. ;)

How many hours a week would you want to spend on cleaning your white leather interior, though?

Depends how you treat your cars i guess. Wouldn't get a light colour if I had kids and/or did alot of K's, that's for sure.

Aaah that must explain why people who drive cars with leather interior either wear their cricket whites or just go naked everywhere.

I was referring to the white leather. Blue jeans and white leather just dont go together. Obviously, if you had black leather or red or even ochre, stains wouldnt show up as much as on white leather.

Ive got a redhot monaro with redhor interior and as soon as I saw this I knew it was redhot VZ with a HBD spoiler.

Its just that the picture lighting is bad. redhot looks nothing like that really though IRL.
