General Ls1 Mods

Hi guys,

I just registered this morning and would like to extend a big hello to you all. I've played around with many a 5 litre VN - VS, cams, heads, exhaust, throttle bodies etc. (minor mods) but have never played with a LS1.

I'm about to start playing around with my first and apart from the first obvious mods, cold air, exhaust etc. what is the next plan of attack? With a 5 litre I would have done cam, heads etc. but some people are telling me all I need is a good tune and it will fly. No cam or head work! Is this true? Are cam and throttles and headwork still a good idea? Oh, by the way its a VZ SS Ute. Great to be part of the site!

let me be the first to say welcome to the forum my freind , there is much to learn, you first step is to use the search function at the top of the screen, Do a search for things like EDIT, MCAI, then check out the sponsers section to find your self a local tunner. good luck and enjoy the worlds best forum. :D

Forget the MCAI, it wont fit on the VZ's,
Find all mods in here! ;)

The MCAI will fit a VZ but only after a very small section is trimmed from it.

Did mine 4 days ago but didnt take any pics. :bash:
