Took the car in for a 100k service.

When i picked up the car i asked the service guy about extractors and a exhaust system.

Now you guys will fall over laughing here. The reply I had was unbeleivable. I was told that my ute ( 225 factory kw's ) was pushing the limits of the A4 :eek: I think i must have a trimatic in my car then :eek: I nearly fell over laughing :lol: If only they knew the truth.

This now explains to me why holden knows nothing of there own products and sites like this forum have much more knowledge than holden ever will regarding ls1's etc.

Actually I wouldn't laugh so loudly - I've got an A4 and extractors etc.etc. dyno'ed at 201rwkw which isn't anything great by any stretch of the imagination but I usually hit red line and the limiter for just a few fractions of a second before the auto changes into 2nd now under full wot. I don't yet have edit but after 75,000K's the auto is really strating to seem sloppy. Not sure if I've just got a dud or what but even on some cruises it seems to hold 2nd way to long when it should change into 3rd.

Look to be honest I have no idea if the thing would behave the same as if I had no mods but at the end of the day – for me personally, the exhaust/extractor mod by itself was nothing more than to make the car sound more like a V8 than an exec. I really think you need to go diff gears and/or edit to actually notice any real performance change and by that mod alone (edit) you can make the A4 go from a slop box to a mean machine (or at least from what I’m meant to believe having read these forums over that last twelve months)

Ive got 355RWKW through mine and it's taking it..... Its also done 15,000KM with 285RWKW and 100 - 150 Drag passes. They are stronger than people give them credit for!

I do a few track days also and it seems to go well.
Have a cooler in miine now just to be on the safe side :driving:

M.i used to hit the limiter from 2nd to thrid under WOT and my auto was sloppy as shit , quick trip to Power Torque for a Mafless tune fixed trhat :D
