Now i know a thread was posted on here recently about the price on a new Maloo R8, but i am wanting to buy a base model Maloo only. Jsut wondering what sort of prices people are paying for them on here. My closest HSV dealer quoted me 58K and from looking at other threads it seems that guys are buying R8's for that much.

So any prices that you guys are paying for for Brand New VZ Maloos (not near new or demo) would be much appreciated

I am waiting for my new Maloo to be delivered. The salesman keeps telling me about 2 weeks. When I eventually get it I will pay $51250 with the tyre pressure monitor fitted which is valued at $1350.
I spoke to the dealer yesterday and they told me to expect delivery on the 11th of July. I am not holding my breath. Apparently HSV are way behind with delivery of vehicles.
So if and when you do order one expect to wait up to 2 - 3 months no matter what bulls*it the salesman tells you.
Good luck with the bargaining.

LS1 5.7,

A word of advice. Don't buy HSV's from Pioneer Holden...

You will get it much cheaper from Brisbane, call Zupps and see what they can do, and drive it home.

A mate of mine, Toddy78 from Moranbah as well, bought his VYII Clubbie R8 from Brisbane and saved more than $6000.

Well worth it mate...

Right on the money there.. Also had a few mates in the same situation, saved a bundle purchasing from Brisbane.

Plus its a good chance to get to know the car on the way home
