Thanks for that, my dba 4000 front rotors are warped bad, got them off ebay (330 x 28 with pbr sports calipers) so want to do this properly without going overboard.

Do NOT fit the VZ Monaro rotors with the calipers you have, if that's what you are aiming at.
Besides being 10mm smaller in diameter, your measurements tell me that your current rotors are also 4mm thinner, and that spells DANGER when new pads are fitted.

No I won't, I'm looking at changing the entire front setup to VZ Monaro spec so new calipers, rotors, etc, I get trade price at my local dealer but not counting on saving much but am sick of having half ars#d brakes, any recommendations on pad choices for street use as a daily driver?
Also just realised that having calipers with "Monaro" logo's on them might look a bit silly on a VY Calais, is there different part numbers for C6 calipers without the Monaro logo?

You could use the HBD numbers.
They just have the Holden Logo.
92171146 CALIPER ASM LH FRONT
92171145 CALIPER ASM RH FRONT
92168568 CALIPER ASM LH REAR
92168572 CALIPER ASM RH REAR

Phewww!
We had a VZ ute in a couple of months ago with a mix like yours sounded like it might do, and it was an obvious disaster waiting to happen.

Don't you also need the CV8VZ or SS-Z stub axles because of the different calliper mounts?

Not if you use the reducing sleeves that allow you to use the 12mm bolts still.

Sorry I don't have that pricing ( must be the only thing I don't have here ).
Or you could use SS-z
92185393 RH Caliper RRP$ 412.50
92185392 LH Caliper RRP$ 412.50
Did the last of the VZs fitted with the L76 engine have the same brakes?
SS with L76
92188700 RH Caliper RRP$ 379.50
92188701 LH Caliper RRP$ 379.50

Very interesting thread. I am interested in the SS-Z or VZ 6.0 callipers as I would like to go to vented rears and the larger fronts, but don't want coloured non-standard callipers, or the hassles of finding strange combos of pads.
So I basically need:
VZ 6.0/SS-Z/CV8Z rear vented discs/pads (Use stock SIII/VY callipers and mounting hardware)
VZ 6.0/SS-Z front discs/pads and callipers/adaptor sleeves/hoses (328 x 32mm)
That way I get the bigger brakes while retaining the stock look.

Well after a busy morning of phoning various Holden spare parts dealers I've decided to go with the PBR PK1 package as the cost of upgrading the fronts to VZ Monaro / VZ SSZ spec works out to $1300K and that's without pads or brake lines.
Also getting hold of the reducing sleeves will be hard as they're out of stock and will take a few weeks to get and are a HSV part number.
Managed to track down the PBR kit from a local Repco dealer for $2100 and that way I get front and rear as a complete kit. Should arrive on Monday as they have to ship it from their warehouse so I'll be selling off my VZ monaro rear setup once the PBR kit is fitted.
It pays to phone around for prices as another local Repco quoted me $2575 for the same kit. Even for the VZ Monaro / SSZ parts there were some huge variations in price

Update: picked up the PBR kit today and had it fitted. It's a bit early to comment but I've noticed the front to rear balance is better with no more nose diving when i was bedding the brakes in on the way back home this afternoon.
Most importantly no more violent steering wheel vibrations when hitting the brakes above 80km/hr.
