Thought I would fit the CV8R grille badge (lions head in black chrome) to my VY SS. Does anyone know if they are the same size or could a friendly CV8R owner measure the outside diameter for me please

I think that the cv8 badge is smaller in diameter than the VY by a fair bit.

Just measured those on my CV8R S3

90mm front grill badge
65mm boot badge

Has anyone got a close-up photo of one? I'm curious to see what the black chrome looks like up close...'cause from a distance it looks like the grille's been "badged"...and all that remains is the spongey glue stuff. Beautiful cars apart from that though. :)

Second that, whos got a pic?

My 2002 CV8 badge is 98mm in diameter, I'd like to know where the differences are. Does the CV8R still have the holden outline in the grille under the badge.

Was that an exact measurement or pretty close? I just measured my VY Series 1 SS using a pair of calipers and it is 86mm.

Anyone know how these badges are attached to the grill or is there a product available o spray pain mine in the black / shadow chrome?

Will have to check with my friendly Holden parts man and confirm how many organs I will have to sell to buy one :D

I dont have calipers, just measuring from lip to lip in the metal part of the badge. I believe the badge and centre plastic splitter all clip out as one unit anyway, is that the same on the SS?
