Hi all, my 99 VTII Clubbie R8 is about to have a Sureflow 2.5" dual exhaust ( no headers ) fitted. What I would like to know from others is, what do I do with the old one?
Is it worth selling on ebay ( HSV system etc.. ) or does it go in the bin?
I have a friend who has a VX Commodore ( standard )....could this exhaust go on his car ( V6 )?
Cheers

What ever you do don't through it in the bin. On ebay it might fetch $180? Its probably a better idea to keep it. When you go to sell you'll find that some people prefer non-modified cars.
As to if it would go on your mates car, I don't know.

I'd flog it to someone. Exhaust changes are so common and such a no brainer with these cars I dont think its worth storing/replacing
Throw it on ebay! Mind you there have been a few on there lately that havent sold. I put my VX clubby exhaust on there about a year ago and I had an offer before the auction ended of $400 cash so I said yes please :) . Saying that, it was the complete system- headers, cats, catback which I think is a more attractive option that a catback alone. The VT zorst is getting on a bit but probably still able to sell it for around $50 for the catback only, its the headers and cats that are more sort after.
At sureflo I sure it will go in the bin, there plenty of newer HSV and SS systems in the bin there!

It won't fit a V6 unless they change to twin cats and do a lot of pipework. Not really worth it for a VT system though.
