Heya all i know this is an ls1 forum but a few people on here know me so i thought id let them know where im at now
Picked my car up from HPF today after having the engine rebuilt it makes 330rwkw at 3000rpm and max power 391.5rwkw with the factory turbo running out of puff looks like time for a bigger turbo :)
But what is impressive is the tourqe 12000N of tractive effort on the dyno which even HPF were amazed at
The car has a c9 3 speed fully manual shift auto in it now and in top gear at 100kph you can floor it and light up the tyres all you want
Hopefully is the rain holds out i will make it to calder tomorrow night now i got to get the power to the track

Very impressive! What boost at 3000 rpm to make 330 rwkw? With a bigger turbo you could make a very large number, but I'd be tempted to stay with the smaller turbo, you're making tons in the mid range/bottom end, you might loose some of that if you go too big on the turbo. Almost 400rwkw - sounds like enough to me :)

I think i can answer that for you :)

Craig wants to lower the full street trim time more now but as far as future mods go i dont think he is going to go any further as he has to drive his car everyday

Great results mate, good work HPF, 12000n tractive effort is fu%^en phenominal!, that should see your car easily in the 130+ mph, 10 sec pass as well.

Great power figure, will be keeping an eye on this thread for an ET.

I chose a VY SS over the XR6T, but I know what my next car will be... I like turbos!

Adam's car is tuned by the same people on the same dyno as my car. I've run 11.58 with pump fuel from only 330rwkw's and 10.87 from 385rwkw's. Adam has alot more than me on pump fuel, well over 350rwkw's i believe and has gone as high as 391rwkw's on race fuel. This is the limits of the factory turbo. Adam also has a better trans than myself for racing aswell. If Adam is able to get traction i believe that after tomorrow night there will be a new quickest time for the BA XR6T. Adam deserves whatever time he's able to achieve, the amount of effort he has put into his car is amazing.

Good luck Adam, lets see a mid to low 10 on street rubber. ;)

Hey George, glad to hear your back using your tanents on ausie muscle again rather then those pesky 4 cyl turbo things. We must catch up for a beer real soon.

Adam, congats on some great power numbers. Got to love those turbo things. Let us know when you are going to give it a run. I would love to come down and have a look.

Excellent power figure you got there. What size convertor do you run on the auto? (Im assuming with the stock turbo you can run a small tight unit).

Yep a new best time of 10.5 @ 131mph in full street trim for the Xr6T. Remember this car is a daily driver and not a dedicated drag car.

Quoted from Adam:

"10.56 @ 131mph was pretty awesome for my 3rd run had some issues with the car and traction issues from the line i think there is a low 10 in it easy hopfully get them sorted for heathcote next week

Have to thank HPF and ROB for all there great work Thanks alot guys you now have the 2 fastest xr6 turbos in the world hehe"

9's here they come

Also look out for a Ford Territory T AWD that was running 11.7's!!

Cheers

Those times are pretty damn good then when you consider the old 10.98 record held by C&V was supposedly tuned to ~390rwkw and with slicks as well
