Am considering getting my VY SS Series 1 Leather seats modified to Coulsen specs and have a few questions
Can this be done to the VY considering it has the separate headrest?
Is this a big job or is it just the top wrap around section and headrest that needs doing.
Any rough idea of price and recommended places in SE QLD
Thanks

It isn't just the VY that had the seperate headrest....
Yes, there have been those who have modified their SS seats to coulsens copies, just don't go the cheap way and do the headrest only...stands out like dogs balls.... the back needs rebolstering and you can even rebolster the base. Bare minimum is back and headrest though...

You should PM Roarz and or IH8WRX, Roarz had this exact mod done to his beast - including being fully airbag compliant, and the name of the business that did it was supplied by IH8WRX - who has also had this done (I think).

Yep - right on Maverick.
Extreme Auto Trimming on the Gold Coast did it for me and for IH8WRX. Rick had his done in leather, and I had my done reusing my existing SS cloth (because I think the SS cloth looks awesome). Mine cost $700 a seat. Remember, this includes new frame pieces being welded in, retrimming, brand new moulded head rests, and side airbag compliant thread and stitching.

Any pics of yours ROARZ? I seen IH8WRX's in the feature, just not a fan of the cloth/leather mix but that's just my opinion.
Would like to see yours done in all cloth.
Cheers,

Just like so many things on this car (except maybe the blower and intercooler ;)), the casual observer wouldn't notice anything different at all. But those of you in the know, know that there was never a cloth Coulsen option for the SS... :D

just noticed roars that you didnt have the base done in the coulsen style... any reason for this?
ive got a vx clubsport interior in my car (not coulsen) and there was a mix up when i bought it and got a coulsen base by accident for one of the front seats, andd there was a noticable difference between the two.
the coulsen base deffinately held you into the seat alot better and was more comfortable in my opinion.
