Typical Street Weight Of VXII R8 Clubsports

Tried to search but did not find what I was looking for, so here goes:

I am after typical weights found by people who own HSV VXII R8 Clubsports.

If you know how much your car weighs, I would be curious to know.

Please include (if you can remember) how much petrol you had and any additional weight included when you weighed the car in full street trim including or not including the spare etc.

I intend to take mine to a weighing station, but not sure where in Melbourne to go, or had much time yet to find out and do so. Therefore an approximate will be ok for now.

i weighed my SV300 at wsid and it weighed 1820kg with me in it and 3/4 tanks petrol,hope this helps.

I have a VX R8 Series 1, I got it weighed on the Hume Hwy weighbridge at Cambellfield, it weighed 1680kgs with 3/4 tank of fuel and no spare, hope this helps.

No idea what sort of accuracy this provides but the rego label for my old VX II R8 Clubby says Tare Weight 1530. This most likely doesn't include fuel ? I would have thought it was heavier, maybe they just give the weight of the donor car ... being a Berlina. But I guess this gives you a minimum :confused:

Mate I dont know what its like in MELBOOOORNE, but in QLD all our local council tip/refuse stations have weighbridges you must pass over to see how much rubbish you have to tip. IE so they can charge you!! Doesnt cost anything to roll on down say hi to the weighbridge operator, check the weight and drive off the bridge and do a Uey to go home. :) Better than going to a Quarry and gettin car covered in crap etc by us truck drivers in too much of a hurry.

Oh and just out of interest my VX EXEC weighs 1740kg fulla fuel and me in it. Holden rated kerb weight for exec with v8 was 1597. So roughly on the money (yep I weigh 130+). From memory the HSV variants were up to 200kgs heavier. Dont quote me on this though --- try the afore mentioned.

Whats the difference between a R8 and the SV? Sonny you dont weigh 140KG do you?

My VX R8 came up at 1770 kg with 1/2 a tank and me in it (85 kg)

This was at Nunawading Refuge station in Melbourne. They we happy to weigh the car for me.

I know it's not an HSV sedan, but my SS wagon weighed 1845kg with me (95kg) and 3/4 tank of fuel at WSID.

Yep, I think I have a rough ballpark figure, not bad and about what I was guessing.

ED, yeah I know of a tip not far, about 20 mins away which I will ask them if they mind me doing this for a more accurate measure. This I shall try to do when I am in that area next.
