Hi Guys,
Looking at maybe putting a set of these on the commodore. Just wondering if anyone has some opinions on them.
Cheers,

I work for bob jane and i can tell you that these things hold on like glue, only problem is they're only available in 15" - 17" at the moment, i think 18" will be released soon. They are also very quiet and feature an asymetrical tread pattern. I rate them very highly and we sell heaps of them. :D

15" is fine, thats all I have with the standard rims on the car. What sort of life expectancy do these tyres have?
I bought two for the rear a few weeks ago. So far they seem to grip pretty well. No major complaints, but I can't really test them out until I've got a set on the front (I've got A539s on the front atm).
One complaint though - they do seem a little bit noisier on the highway than my previous Bridgestone Turanza's, and A539s.
I always bought A539s so I figured I might as well give these a go (they're the replacement for A539s).
Not cheap though. I got mine directly from Yokie and saved a fair bit, but I was quoted $230/tyre fitted and balanced for 225/655/R16...compared with around $190 for A539s last time.
Cheers,
- Febs.
Edit: Life expectancy - I was told to expect a little bit worse than A539s (which are INCREDIBLY long lasting tyres). I've got a set of 15" A539s that did:
- 40,000km road use
- 1 x Wakefield track day
- 1 x big burnout on gravel at Oran Park
- Several nights at WSID, including a private day (23 runs)
..and they're STILL legal (just).

I've only got 30,000 out of my set of 539s, which I reckon is pretty poor considering the easy life they have had. I have a feeling that the alignment that was done when I bought the tyres has ruined them. They are incredibly noisy at the moment, especially from 80 km/h onwards, even turning up the radio doesn't cut out the sound of them!

prob 40,000kms
The cops are testing them down here in tas taking off the GY NCT3's and B/stones, apparantly they've all done around 30,000 on the C-Drives and the tyres are looking good.

Weird. The first thing I noticed when going from RE92s->A539s on my old VS was how quiet they were above 80km/h! I do a lot of highway driving (Syd to Gong) and there was a definite difference there.
But yeah, like I said - the C Drives seem to be a bit noisier. Worth it though. :)

I have C Drives on my old Falcon and so far they have been great. The handling seems much better but I really need to go for a run up the east/west coast of tassie to really tell ;) Sadly work has had me only on the highways, hopefully I can give them a real work out soon.
gen3ss, Hobart or Moonah? I was out at the Hobart one a few weeks ago.

Yeah they used to be quiet, at any speed really, its only in the last 3000 kays or so that they have really become quite noisy.
Judging by the reviews given here, looks like I will give the C drives a shot.
Thanks everyone for your replies!
