Here's my HSV 285kw power output bog stock except for K&N Filter. The other line is after a MAFless tune, no other changes, same day within an hour of each other, same dyno, etc, etc.
So as you can see, a "custom edit" is leaps and bounds above a stock HSV.

Just curious,

Have you done any other mods to achieve 12.7 1/4 mile?
If so, then what further mods?

cheers

i had an edit done at powertorque 2 weeks ago. my vzss ute a4 with extractors was a baseline run of 214rwkw and picked up 25rwkw to end with 239rwkw. very pleased and very noticable power gain. mine was also a maf tune.

i have the dyno log but have not yet worked out how to show it here. still new to the site

Have done a couple more since that initial tune was done, baby cam, springs, rockers, otrcai and a couple of others.
Have since changed the car (again), but yet to have a run, will be seeing how she goes this week-end.

I saw a VU SS ute (auto) with Extractors (tri-y) and dual 2 1/2" exahust, KN filter, 'HP tune' make 215kw at the wheels. Hope that helps!

Went to powertorque 2 weeks ago with 260kw VyI clubsport 6M with Noyzworx catback exhuast and K&N filter. It made 203Rwkw.
After a mafless tune and OTRCAI it made 246Rwkw which is an increase of 43 Rwkw or 327Kw at the flywheel.
Drivability is improved with power and response everywhere.

hi my vu ss auto had a 285 flash done a few months ago and am real pleased with t[IMG]he results :D .it also has all the bolt on extras.
today i had plans to go get a maffless edit at f1 but was told by steve not bother with it as my car was already punching out good figures just for a flash, when he dynoed it 219.5 rwk and with a bit of tweaking got up to 228.5 rwk .my question is are these figures on par with normal edits or could i get more with the maffless edit,by the way the guys at f1 are champs only $100 bucks for a couple of hours of the tweaking ,any feed back would be good just after some more apinions.have dyno pics but not sure how to post them.

A HUNDRED BUCKS??? man, Steve is gonna be swamped!

I had both my VXIISS and current VYIISS done at F1 with a normal MAF edit and got similar results of about 240rwkw. Almost same mods as you but I had/have Pacie Tri-Y's both times.

I haven't driven a car with the same mods as me but with a MAFLess tune so I can't comment on how much better (or worse) it is, besides EVERY car is different anyway so that would be a pointless excercise. I chose to keep my MAF and am totally happy with it. I'd like to go MAFLess to see what all the fuss is about, but am not going to waste the money for little to no gain.

yeah thats why i asked,$900 bucks aint worth approx 5 to 10 rwk, :D and that came from the horses mouth too,so ill stay with the maff, cause im sure 228.5 at the ass aint too bad for an auto.

It apparently will add throttle response and be a little more lively, but I am not convinced that it will work optimally on ice cold or stinking hot days.

If I ever get a cam, perhaps it will get tuned MAFless...but I dunno.

At the end of the day, all that is important is that WE are happy with the results!

Enjoy!
