hey guys!
not exactly sure if this is where this should be posted - it didnt really come under another section, but im curious about a couple option codes on my car.
i have a HBD plate on my VT calais and it says the following:
build number: SDT1114
options: S B S
1. what does my build number mean? is it how many HBD Vt's were made or what? and what does the 'SDT' at the start mean?
2. what does 'S B S' stand for under 'HBD options'?
i sent my vin number off to holden so they could check about some history things on my car and heres my options i got listed back:
3BB - CALAIS PACK - 8VX
A8Z - Description Not Available
AH8 - Electric Front Seat - Passanger - 8 Way
AV0 - Electric Front Seat - Driver - 8 Way
CJ2 - Air Cond - Auto Temp Control, Auxiliary Control - (Dual Zone)
FE2 - Suspension Pack
GU4 - Axle Ratio - Rear 3.07:1/3.08:1
LB9 - Engine - V8 5.0 Litre - EFI
M30 - Electronic Auto. Trans - 4 Spd
NV7 - Variable Effort Power Steering
PF4 - Wheel - 7.0 X 16 Alloy
QFH - Tyre - 215/60R16-95H
V5D - HBD
VA1 - Standard Radiator
XW6 - Metallic Finish
now, what i want to know, is what does 'A8Z' mean? if holden cant even give me a description, how should i know!?
from talking to a member on the street commodore forums, 'commodorenut' i received the following information:
A8Z
I have no listings either.
Looking deeper into it may help.
All the A8* and A9* numbers pertain to special packs (A8Q = VL exec, A9Y = VL Calais wagon, A8J = early Acclaims, A8S = Equipe on VR-VZ, A8X = "International" A8Y = Lumina (VX>VZ), A8J = VT 50th Anniversary.
You can see all around there's "specials" denoted by these packs, but this may get a little closer:
A8P = Leather fitted without Climate Control (rare one!)
A8U = Sunroof & provision for HSV wheels (different spare, plus roof wiring)
There are also numerous "Sales Packs" prompted by dealers & state marketing groups.
What my suggestion is, being that your car has a sunroof, is maybe it was part of a small-run marketing pack that wasn't recorded?
Hope this helps,
Mick.
i dont have a sunroof as thought in the above quote. my car has leather, standard 260w stereo, CC, etc etc...
thanks to ANYONE who can help me??? its really giving me the shits
